August 7th Services
Sunday AM service was at New Testament Baptist Church in Jefferson, SC. We enjoyed worshipping with Pastor Aldridge and his people and shared the noon meal that the pastor prepared himself.
The evening service was held at the New Freedom Baptist Church in Columbus, NC. It was good to see Pastor Matthew Morgan again and we were blessed to have the opportunity to fellowship with his good people.
Praise the Lord, both churches took us on for support!!

There is a Lad Here
John chapter 6 records the feeding of the five thousand. As I read this account, my eyes are drawn to verse 9. The Bible shows us in this verse the instrument that God uses to perform this miracle was nothing more than a little lad. We do not know where this lad came from, what his name was, or which family he belonged to. Because of this lack of information we could wounder what it was that caused Christ to use this lad's life in such a great way. I believe the key is found in the first phrase of this verse, ''There is a lad here''. I want to put much emphasis on the word ''here''. He was not a lad over ''there'' or a lad somewhere else, he was in a place were he was available. He made himself available to God and God used him. Now the question should be asked, "Where am I? Have I made myself available to God?" The lad was used because he was ''here''. Have you made yourself ''here" for God.
